America East releases men's basketball schedule
BU's 16-game conference slate begins January 7 at Albany

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Coming off a road-heavy non-conference schedule in November and December, Binghamton men's basketball will open America East play with five home games in January. The conference released its full schedule on Friday, with each league member playing eight home and eight away dates.

The Bearcats open January 7 at Albany but then play six of their next eight games at the Events Center. The first home conference game is a January 10 matchup with Maine. Stony Brook (Jan. 12), Boston University (Jan. 14), Vermont (Jan. 24), New Hampshire (Jan. 30) and Albany (Feb. 3) visit Vestal during that stretch.

After BU's five home dates in January, the team will spend much of February on the road, with four straight away contests and a regular-season finale February 28 at Vermont looming.

The America East Championship begins March 4 in Hartford.

Binghamton opens its season on November 10 with an exhibition game against Holy Family College. The Bearcats will then welcome Bloomsburg in their season-opener November 14 at the Events Center.
