POSTGAME QUOTES
Binghamton 91
Long Island 80
December 15, 2006, Vestal, N.Y. (Events Center)
BINGHAMTON
Head Coach Al Walker
On the game:
"It was a determined effort in the second half that rattled
Long Island and that may be the most important half we play all
season. I was pleased because every single guy made plays down
the stretch in the second half. We shot 24 of 26 from the free
throw line in the second half and that's a sign of a team that
can win some games. I'm glad to have broken out of our three
game slump."
Troy Hailey, Senior Guard
On the second half:
"I've never been on
a team who got that hot, it was a great win for the team, the
school and the program."
Rich Forbes, Junior Guard
On the second half:
"We knew at half time that we were going to win, we've been
talking all week about how we need to go one step farther and
make the extra play and tonight we did that."
Long Island
Acting Head Coach/Assistant Jack Perri
On Binghamton's play:
"Binghamton's defensive pressure bothered us and we didn't
handle it well, we had talked about keeping our poise and not
making mistakes but we held the ball instead of attacking the
basket and that hurt. We had alot of turnovers, and Binghamton
made alot of free-throws in the second half. Forbes did a great
job of attacking us with those two big three-pointers." |
