BINGHAMTON
Head Coach Al Walker
On the game:
"I was really happy with the way we played in the first
half. Mount St. Mary's has battled back ain each of their games
this season, but we made some plays down the stretch that made
the difference. It was a great game for us."
On the return of Proctor:
"Steve was very active and athletic for his first time back.
I was very happy with the way he played."
Mike Gordon, Junior Guard
On the team's depth:
"Our team is really deep this year and I think we really
saw that tonight. Our depth will really help us out when conference
play comes around."
On the home opener:
"It felt good to be out in front of the home crowd again.
We came out and really pushed the ball and got some easy buckets
in transition. You can't ask for any better of a start than we
had tonight."
Steve Proctor, Senior Guard
On his return to the lineup:
"It feels good to be back. I was a bit nervous out there
at first, but once I got those first couple of shots to go down,
I was able to settle down and play my game."
On his block late in the game:
"I knew they needed a three and the guy was going to take
it because he is on of their best outside shooters. We have been
working on shot challenging all year and I just was at the right
place at the right time there."
MOUNT ST. MARY'S (Md.)
Coach Milan Brown
On the game:
"I was proud of the way we battled back in the second-half,
we'll learn from this game and move on. I was also really proud
of the way our young guys played today.
On BU's shooting:
"The way they shot the ball in the first half really hurt
us. We gave them alot of open looks and they capitalized." |
