During the Fall 2020 semester, we are looking back at the top events in Binghamton Athletics history from specific years. Today, we go back 15 years ago to the 2005-06 academic year. It featured nine athletes who would eventually be a part of the Binghamton Athletic Hall of Fame (Kevin McKeown -men's lacrosse, Rachel Laws - women's basketball, Jacki Kane -volleyball, David Holmes - men's swimming, Graham Munro - men's soccer, Rory Quiller - men's track & field, Zach Groh, Brendon Hitchcock and Scott Diamond - baseball, Zeynep Altinay - women's tennis and Jeff Wolniewicz - golf)
 
TOP STORIES IN BINGHAMTON ATHLETICS
1. Rory Quiller qualifies for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the pole vault.
2. The volleyball team wins its first-ever America East championship.
3. The golf team advances to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in five years.
4. Graham Munro is named a third-team All-American by College Soccer News.
5. The men's lacrosse team earns its first-ever national ranking, climbing to as high as No. 16.
6. Kaan Tayla is named the America East Men's Most Outstanding Swimmer while teammate David Holmes is the ECAC Most Outstanding Swimmer.
7. Zach Groh leads the nation in ERA for much of the season and is named the America East Pitcher of the Year.
8. In just her freshman season, Katie Radzik earns All-Region honors at the Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships.
9. The men's soccer team advances to the America East title game for the third year in a row.
10. The wrestling program is reinstated after a one-year hiatus.
