Bearcats attained 3.45 GPA during 2019-20 academic year

VESTAL, N.Y. – For the 16th time since 2002, the Binghamton men's soccer team has earned Team Academic Honors from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America).

In order to earn NSCAA Team Academic Honors, a program has to have compiled an overall GPA of a 3.00 or higher during an academic year. The Bearcats attained a 3.45 GPA during the 2019-20 academic year despite the COVID-19 pandemic forcing classes to go online back in March.

"All coaches are really proud in how their teams responded to the adversities their kids faced last semester and everyone moving to being online for classes," head coach Paul Marco said. "I am thrilled with the GPA the guys were able to achieve last year both collectively and individually. The challenge now is to really stay focused and continue their great achievements during this new normal."

This marks the ninth consecutive season that the men's soccer program has earned the USC's team academic award.
