How can I access RSS feeds?
-
You need an RSS reader. RSS feeds are pulled into a web app or software program specifically designed for reading them, called an "aggregator," sometimes referred to as a "news reader" or simply "reader."
Popular free aggregators include Google Reader (web-based), FeedDemon (Windows) and NetNewsWire (Mac).
-
Start adding new RSS feeds. Once you have an aggregator set up, the following general steps are helpful in subscribing to Binghamton University news feeds:
- Copy the URL (Web address) of the feed you wish to subscribe to
- Open your aggregator
- Select "New Channel," "Subscribe," etc.
- Paste in the URL
- Follow the prompts as directed
Refer to the documentation for your selected aggregator for more specific instructions on subscribing to RSS feeds.
